The tour operator is very strict on time and we did leave someone behind so keep that in mind as the day begins early. It was warm and sunny when we went so be prepared for the weather as you're walking through the Hobbiton set! After the Hobbiton tour, we went to see the glow worm caves which was also very cool. I enjoyed our driver and the experience overall but it is a long day.”

“LOVED Hobiton. Absolutely beautiful! Great tour. Waitmo Caves were very interesting and beautiful. The guides, at both locations, were very good! There was a lot of driving that we didn't fully understand. Probably 7 hours of the 13 hour tour was in the van. We were with friends and saw some beautiful scenery. Long day!”

“What an awesome afternoon! Our two guides took us out of the city after a stop for some NZ famous meat pies (which were delicious!) and gave us a great half-hour walk through the rainforest. They let us choose the flat walk or the adventurous walk, but other than a few hills to climb, the adventurous one was still an easy enough walk for a 9 year old to keep up with no problem. We made a quick stop to see an incredible 800-year old tree, then hit Piha Beach. It was absolutely stunning there! We had about 45 minutes to walk the beach and wade in the water. Towels…”
